If so, we ask you to consider sharing your talents with one of the Edge or Life Teen ministries. Without our teens there would be no hope for our future, without our adult leaders there would be no role models for our teens! Ministry of Liturgy: This ministry will focus on coordinating and training the teens who participate in the Mass including lectors, greeters, ministers of hospitality, altar servers, singers, and gift bearers.
Ministry of Fund-raising: Without financial support, many teens would not be able to participate in activities such as retreats, youth rallies or Christian social events. We are in need of adults to come up with creative fundraising ideas, organize fundraising events, and schedule teens and parents to work at the fundraisers.
Ministry of Hospitality: This ministry is one of the most popular with our teens! This wonderful group of people prepares & serves the meals before the Edge or Life Teen meetings on Sunday. All families are asked to help with this at least one Sunday each year. We are in need of a small dedicated group of parents to help organize the schedule for the hospitality ministry.
Ministry of Publicity: This is our chance to spread the news about the AWESOME things that our teens are doing in the community and at our parish. This ministry would lead the teens in producing a quarterly newsletter, a memory book and submitting information to the local media.
Ministry of Catechesis: There are two areas of catechesis - the Core Team & Confirmation Teachers. The Core Team members are adults who devote their time and talents by being present to the teens in a loving and giving way. They create & present Edge Meetings/Life Nights and support teen activities. This is a weekly commitment, 4:30 PM - 5:45 PM for Edge and 7:15 PM - 9 PM for Life Teen. These Team Members are strongly encourage to participate in 6 PM Mass with teens.
Confirmation Teachers lead class sessions during the formation process of the candidates, attend retreats, major liturgies and some service projects.
Ministry of Community Service: This group of adults works with our teens in coordinating and developing creative service projects on a monthly basis for the youth. Talents include a passion for service and a warm heart to work with the teens and those with whom we minister.
Production Ministry: Experience, talent & enthusiasm are needed to create unique video clips for the Life Nights and to record our special events. We need someone to run the A/V on Sunday Nights. Technology we have. . . . expertise we need.
Ministry of Affirmation: Talents for this ministry include creativity, a love of designing or sending cards for all occasions and a sincere heart who will pray for our teens. This ministry meets one evening a month.
